A little bit of Me

Journalistic Beginnings

As a young woman I always had this love for telling stories as much as I love reading them. Growing up I realized I can do more with that, so I decided to become a journalist. My work reflects what I'm interested in like Arts & Entertainment and Pop Culture. Along with writing I held many Editor positions. In Xpress Magazine, as Social Media Editor, I promoted new content via video or photo post with captions on our various platforms. Also, keep Instagram stories up to date with behind-the-scenes content. I use Canva to make infographics with creative designs. I work with video and editing to make reels for related content. As an A&E, Life & Style and Features Editor for The Breeze Newspaper, I had to manage and help create stories for my desk which would include keeping in constant communication with writers. I love writing for myself, so I joined HerCampus, an online blog publication ran by women, where I write opinionated blog style articles.
